Beautiful Yuri Couple Surrender to the Cock - Chapter 7

"What are you even talking about?"

"…What are you saying, Mai?"

Even as Eiji and Rika looked at her with identical expressions of bewilderment, Mai remained smiling, brimming with confidence. Rika’s current expression was a rare sight, but Mai—her lover—had her eyes closed and her chest puffed out, so she didn't even notice.

"Like I said, I’m going to teach you exactly how charming I am, you gorilla."

"I told you, I'm not a gorilla."

She’s being incredibly harsh with Eiji, Rika thought. Unlike herself, Mai was usually friendly and kind to male students, so this aggressive attitude toward Eiji was unusual. The thought of him getting angry and turning that strength against them was terrifying, but he seemed like a mature adult; he didn't look like the type to ever raise a hand to someone. Realizing this made Mai look even more childish in comparison, and Rika felt a wave of secondhand embarrassment as her partner.

"Anyway, how do you plan on 'teaching' me your charm?"

"Hmph. I’ll teach a slow-witted gorilla like you using a very special method!"

"…Special?"

Both Eiji and Rika tilted their heads. Mai gave a smug chuckle and pointed a finger dramatically at him.

"Exactly! I’m going to give a gorilla like you the chance to hang out with me after school!!"

"I'll pass."

"!?"

An instant rejection. Rika was stunned, but Mai was even more shocked. Usually, she only showed her cute side to boys, but now her eyes and mouth were wide open in a distinctly unrefined way. The impact of his words had hit her that hard.

"Y-You’re going to pass up a chance to go on a date with me…!? Any other boy in this academy would be so overjoyed they'd literally piss themselves!!"

"I told you, I don't find you attractive."

"GYAAAAAAAAAH!! I really can't forgive this! You are absolutely coming with me!"

"Oh, boy..."

Mai went into a full-blown meltdown, face beet-red, flailing her arms. Eiji, who usually didn't show much emotion (though not as stoic as Rika), couldn't help but let his cheek twitch. Naturally, he looked to Rika, Mai’s partner, for help.

"Hey, Onizuka. You’re her girlfriend, or boyfriend, whatever. Do something about this."

"…Once Mai gets like this, she doesn't listen to anyone."

"…How does she even function as a human being?"

Eiji let out an exhausted sigh. Rika could only give a wry smile. Even so, she still loved Mai; love really is blind.

"HEY!! What are you talking to my Rika-chan for!? Get over here right now!!"

Before they knew it, Mai was already at the classroom door, shouting at Eiji for talking to Rika. Eiji looked at her with pure annoyance.

"…This might be none of my business, but are you sure you want to be dating her?"

"…Mai has her charms, too."

"I see. Well, if you’re happy with it, I guess it's fine."

Saying that, he stuffed his stationery into his bag and slung it over his shoulder. Despite his complaining, it seemed he was going to go along with Mai’s "date." Rika watched him with softened eyes, touched by his kindness. Seeing Rika stay behind, Eiji looked at her curiously.

"Huh? You’re not coming, Onizuka? Are you okay with leaving me alone with your girlfriend?"

"…Um, I’m not very good with... men."

"Ah, right."

Judging by the way she looked at him and her general demeanor, Eiji had already figured out she avoided men. He thought it might just be because he was scary, but since she didn't say it outright, he let it slide.

"…Besides, I don't think you’d do anything like that, Ogawara-kun."

Rika gave a faint smile as she said it. "Anything like that" meaning sexual acts. Mai was her lover, and normally a man would be out of the question, but someone as physically powerful as Eiji could easily overpower her if he tried. Normally, she would never leave her lover alone with a man, but having sensed Eiji’s underlying kindness, Rika trusted him. She also secretly hoped that her lover could become friends with the only man Rika felt she might be able to call a friend.

However...

"…I wonder about that." "

Eh...?"

Eiji mumbled the words so softly that Rika couldn't quite catch them.

"ALRIGHT!! I said get over here now!!"

But before she could ask him to repeat himself, Mai’s angry voice cut through again. Rika knew that when things didn't go Mai’s way, she became irritable instantly. If she kept Eiji here any longer, there would be no chance of the two of them getting along.

"See ya later, then."

"…Yeah."

Rika watched Eiji and Mai walk away. Somewhere deep in her heart, she felt a tiny, flickering spark of unease.

"…I wonder what’s up with Mai."

On Monday morning, Rika arrived at Tendo Academy and muttered to herself. Since they had parted last Friday, she hadn't heard a word from Mai. Usually, on the weekends, Mai would be the one messaging Rika to set up a date, but this past weekend had been silent. Rika wasn't too worried, since Mai replied normally whenever Rika messaged her, but still...

"…Oh, Mai."

Just as she was thinking about it, Rika spotted her.

"Ugh, seriously! Don't screw with me!!"

"What are you so mad about? You’re the one who started it."

"TH-THAT DOESN'T MATTER!! Ugh, you’re so annoying!!"

"You're completely irrational..."

Mai was with Eiji. Rika’s chest tightened for a moment, but seeing that they didn't seem particularly close, in fact, they seemed just as hostile toward each other as they had on Friday, she felt a strange sense of relief and approached them.

"…Mai, Ogawara-kun."

As soon as Rika spoke, Mai, who had been snarling at Eiji like a wounded beast, instantly broke into a radiant, adorable smile.

"Ah! Rika-chan!"

"Yo."

Mai lunged at Rika, and Rika did her best to catch her. With Mai’s ample chest and figure, she actually weighed more than Rika, making it quite a struggle to stay upright.

"Listen, Rika-chan! This gorilla is seriously the worst!!"

"You still calling me that?"

"…Did you two not get along?"

Mai began a rapid-fire rant about Eiji’s flaws while rubbing her head against Rika’s. Eiji just let out a weary sigh. Nothing had changed. They had spent the afternoon together, yet there wasn't a hint of them having become friends. Feeling reassured, Rika asked one more time...

"As if! There’s no way someone as cute as me would ever be a match for a gorilla like him."

Mai made a face as if she were about to spit on the floor. Despite usually acting the part of the "sparklingly cute Mai Terui" in public, she was letting her true emotions show.

"…Ogawara-kun, did you figure out Mai’s charm?"

"Nope, not a clue. I have no idea why you’re dating her, Onizuka."

Rika asked Eiji just to be absolutely sure, and sure enough, his response was just as biting. It really seemed like the two hadn't bonded at all.

"…Wait, actually. I wouldn't call it 'charm' exactly... but I did realize she has some good points."

"…………!!"

"…Oh?"

Eiji stepped closer as he corrected himself. Normally Rika would have backed away, but since Mai was clinging to her, she managed to stand her ground. Rika didn't want him to fall for Mai, obviously, but she did want him to appreciate her good side, so Rika felt a secret swell of pride.

...But for some reason, the Mai clinging to her had suddenly gone silent. Rika felt her partner begin to tremble slightly and looked down, concerned.

"…Mai?"

"Ah, Rika-chan! That’s right, Mr. Kawamura was looking for you!"

Before Rika could ask what was wrong, Mai snapped her head up and blurted that out. Her face was slightly flushed—was it just from hugging?

"…Mr. Kawamura? Okay, thanks for telling me."

Rika wondered what he wanted, but she couldn't ignore a teacher's summons. She thanked Mai, gave Eiji a small nod, and walked away.

"…Stop touching me in front of Rika-chan!"

"…So it’s okay as long as she’s not watching?"

"…That's not what I meant!"

Because she had already walked away, those words never reached Rika’s ears.
