Chapter 2 - Self Introduction

After being guided to our individual rooms, we all gathered in the common area to introduce ourselves.

"Everyone, thanks for gathering here."

The girl with the unmistakable aura of a Hero took the lead and began to speak.

"Let’s get right to it. Why don't we go around and give a brief introduction of our names, jobs, and skills?"

Faced with her soft, friendly smile, I was panicking internally.

(This is bad... if I'm honest in a place like this, it’s going to get incredibly awkward. I have to keep the details as vague as possible...)

While I was clutching my head in thought, the girl continued.

"I’ll start."

As it turned out, she was a "Bokukko"—a girl who uses the masculine pronoun boku to refer to herself. Her energetic and lively vibe really suited her appearance; I thought it was quite cute.

"I’m Yuno Abel. Please, feel free to just call me Yuno! In my original world, I was known as a Hero, and it seems my job here is 'Hero' as well. My skill is [Flash]—apparently, it allows me to move at the speed of light."

(Just as I thought, she’s the Hero. That skill sounds powerful; I’m jealous. I have a bad feeling about this, but surely I'm not the only one with a weird job and skill?)

Then, the high school girl to my left spoke up.

"It seems like our titles or positions from our original worlds become our jobs here."

(So you're a high school student? Just like I'm a Salaryman!) I felt a wave of relief, thinking I’d found a kindred spirit. But the next second—

"I am Maya Sumeragi. My job is 'Sage,' and my skill is [Magic Augmentation], which doubles my magic power for a set period of time."

She brushed her hair back and answered with a dignified, confident expression. Seeing this, my jaw dropped in despair.

(Hey! You traitor! You clearly look like a high school girl who can’t do anything! What kind of world do you come from where a student is a 'Sage'?!)

Next, a woman dressed like a knight sitting to Yuno’s right placed her hand over her heart and spoke in a firm tone.

"I shall go next. I am Ariaris Alphos Arden. Since it is quite long, everyone calls me Aria! Ah, my job is 'Holy Knight.' My skill is [Magic Shield], which provides an absolute defense against magic for myself and my allies."

(Not just a Knight, but a 'Holy Knight,' huh? That’s cool, too! I’m so jealous... maybe I should use my skill to demote her to a 'Lewd Knight'?)

As I was cracking jokes in my head, the woman to my right—an older sister type with a sexy aura she couldn't hide even under her clothes—began to speak.

"I am Sharon. My job is 'Saint,' and my skill is [Resurrection], which can bring comrades back from the dead."

This was perhaps the most shocking introduction of all.

(...I shall worship this woman as a Goddess and treasure her. I need her if I want to stay alive! I won't look at you with lewd eyes! ...Probably.)

While I was making my mental vow, I noticed the other members looked just as shocked. Apparently, the ability to revive the dead was rare even in their worlds. Yuno’s eyes sparkled as she asked a question.

"That’s amazing! I’ve never heard of anyone being able to bring back the dead!"

However, Sharon responded with a grim expression.

"No... it’s not quite that versatile. This skill comes with several strict conditions."

 "Conditions?"

When Yuno asked, Sharon nodded quietly.

"Yes. It can only be used on one person per day. Furthermore, if more than twenty-four hours have passed since their death, they cannot be revived."

We all listened with serious faces. Sharon continued.

"So, please do not rely entirely on this skill. Consider it a last, final resort for emergencies. Above all else, please make protecting your own life your top priority."

Those words resonated deeply within me. I carved them into my heart, and Yuno nodded with a solemn expression. Then, Yuno turned her gaze toward the silver-haired girl next to her, who was as expressionless as a doll.

"Would you like to go next?"

"Iris. 'Beast Tamer.' [Will Sharing]."

Little Iris gave the most concise introduction possible, perhaps out of shyness. We were a bit perplexed by the lack of detail, but Yuno tactfully probed further.

"Um, so... does that mean it’s a skill that lets us share thoughts and strategies?"

"Mm-hmm..."

She nodded modestly.

"Th-that’s incredible! Being able to share plans during battle is a truly useful skill! I look forward to working with you!"

Thanks to Yuno’s summary, Iris’s expression softened slightly. Then, Yuno’s gaze finally landed on me. Yes, it was finally my turn. But there was no need to worry. To avoid embarrassing myself, it was time to put my pre-planned strategy into motion. Phase One: Start.

"Can we have you go last?"

"Sure. I’m Dai Amakusa. My job is 'Salaryman,' and my skill is [Love & Peace]."

Exactly. In Phase One, I intentionally omit the details. I keep it brief to bait them into asking questions. Sure enough, Yuno asked with a confused look.

"I don't quite understand your job or your skill. Could you tell us a bit more?"

(Here it comes!)

Rejoicing inwardly, I moved to Phase Two. Here, I would expand on the job a bit while brushing off the skill.

"Ah, sorry! A 'Salaryman' is something like a civil servant or an administrator. My work didn't involve combat; I dealt with people and paperwork. Besides, at my age, combat is a bit much, so please don't expect much from me on the front lines..."

"No, I figured you weren't a warrior based on your clothes. Thank you for being honest. A journey isn't just about fighting, so that will be a big help."

"Yeah, thanks. And as for my skill, as the name suggests, it’s not combat-oriented, so you can just ignore it."

Phase Two was a success. By explaining the job in detail and glossing over the skill, I managed to diminish their interest perfectly. Everyone had a look on their face that said they were more or less convinced.

(Alright! Time to jump straight to the Final Phase!)

The Final Phase was to shake hands with Yuno and end the conversation peacefully.

"I’ll probably be the biggest burden, but I look forwa—"

I reached out for a handshake, but just as I was about to wrap things up, Aria interrupted with a face of pure innocence.

"Based on the name, is it a negotiation-type skill?"

(Oh crap... I didn't see that coming!) Panicking, I blurted out a safe-sounding answer.

"No, it’s not that...?"

(That wasn't safe at all...)

My vague answer sparked a heatwave of questions from everyone. Next, Maya asked with deep curiosity.

"Then is it a production-type skill?"

"No, it’s more like... a skill to get along with you all!?"

(Okay, that should do it! It's over!)

My relief lasted only a moment before Sharon shrank back and shot me a suspicious look.

"C-could it be!? Is it a skill to brainwash us?"

(Wait, what?! Why would you jump to that?!)

"N-no! That’s totally wrong!"

Seeing me panic only deepened their suspicions. Then, Iris asked a quiet question. I answered it reflexively, and I regretted it instantly.

"...Ability enhancement?..."

"Ah, yeah! That’s it!"

(Ah... I screwed up...) I’d answered without thinking. And just as expected, Yuno leaned in with interest.

"That’s amazing! Are there any special conditions?"

"No, well..."

(I can't tell them! There’s no way I can say they get stronger if we have sex!)

As I fumbled for an answer, Yuno said with the serious expression of a Hero.

"Please, tell us! It’s probably something difficult to talk about, but we’re going to be comrades from now on, so don't worry about it!"

I was struck by her words and checked everyone's expressions. They were all nodding quietly, seemingly placing their trust in me.

(I’m an idiot... keeping secrets from my comrades... how can we defeat the Demon King if I don't trust them!)

"I’m sorry. I’ll tell you!"

"Thank you. Let’s hear it!"

Encouraged by Yuno’s beaming smile, I steeled my resolve. I bowed my head and began to explain.

"My skill allows me to perform sexual acts with women summoned from another world to improve their abilities or bestow and adjust their skills. To put it simply... if I have sex with you all, you get stronger!"

I clenched my fists and explained everything honestly. Whether it was the relief of coming clean or the lovely scent wafting from the girls, I don't know, but my lower half was already rising like a mountain.

" " " " "........................" " " " "

We disbanded immediately for the day. The girls ignored me in total silence and walked away, looking at me as if I were a pile of filth.

(Wait... are we not comrades anymore? I was just being honest!)
