Chapter 138 – The Harem Truly Existed

Translator's Note: This chapter is posted after a long break from the author.

Yo, I’m Sao.

It’s been a while.

I’m not really sure what it’s been a while since, but...

Anyway, I figure now is the perfect time to look back at my own brilliant, glorious career so far. I’ve got a feeling this is going to be one of those messed-up recaps where you’re just left wondering, "Is this guy’s head screwed on right?"

So, me, Sao—I’m just a lowly teenager born and raised in a backwater, podunk village. Except, well, I’m an Isekai reincarnator.

I crossed over with my memories of modern Japan intact, landing soul-first into a world of swords and sorcery. Monsters roam the wilds, and social governance is loose enough to be "Medieval-ish," making it the perfect playground to do whatever the hell I want.

I picked up some cheat abilities (classic Isekai perks) and hit the ground running to enjoy my new life. If I were to summarize my achievements in bullet points so far...

  • Lost my virginity to my biological older sister.

  • Next, had sex with my biological mother.

  • Had sex with a high-born noble lady.

  • Had sex with several classmates.

  • Had sex with my female homeroom teacher.

  • Finally, had sex with a Queen.

...Wait, all I’ve done is have sex. No, no, that’s not right. Behind the scenes of all that sex, I’ve crushed conspiracies to overthrow nations and helped plenty of people.

But let’s be real—if you’re living a life of "doing whatever you want," the "act" is usually the main event. That’s just human karma. I’m willing to bet that everyone else who gets reincarnated or summoned to another world wants to spend their time in a non-stop sexfest if they can. (Broad generalization, I know.)

However, you can’t have quality sex without the right environment. You can’t exactly relax when some sleazy guy is lurking around trying to NTR your girl. So, while I was busy doing the bare minimum of world-saving—which mostly meant exterminating sleazebags, thugs, and creepy old bastards on sight—I somehow ended up in a full-scale war against an entire nation.

The enemy's name: The Kingdom of Niosebuk.

Their philosophy is "Might is Right." If you’re strong, you can do anything; if you’re weak, you deserve to be oppressed. They think the strong can treat the weak however they please... so I decided to show them, "Hey, so it's cool if I torture you to death since you're the weaker ones now, right?" and I’ve been putting them through absolute hell.

I’ve already assassinated the King, and I’ve already killed off one of the Princes in the middle of their frantic succession war. Apparently, he was the top contender for the throne.

During that fight, the secret of my birth came out. Turns out, my father was the King of Niosebuk. Not that I care. My grand goal is peaceful, bright, carefree, pleasurable sex, and as long as I can set up an environment for that, I’m happy.

If that requires the total destruction of Niosebuk, then so be it. It’s progressing nicely.

And that brings us to the present. That’s the recap so far. Now, it’s time for my next stage. I wonder what kind of new "flesh-vessel"—I mean, adventure—is waiting for me?

Since infiltrating Niosebuk, I’ve had one cooperative woman by my side. Her name is Tamagushi.

When we first met, she was a total mystery—a gorgeous girl who let me plow her the very day we met, though she was clearly someone dangerous to be around. But as things moved forward, it turned out she was a Princess of Niosebuk, and she's gradually become someone I can rely on.

She has stunning, lustrous black hair—a "Yamato Nadeshiko" beauty who radiates a Japanese-style elegance even in this fantasy world. She looks delicate at first glance, but the way she wails like a harlot when we’re in the heat of the act is just top-tier.

I had something I needed to consult Tamagushi about.

"I just remembered there was something I had to do once I got to the Niosebuk capital."

"What is it, Sir Sao?"

I made a promise to someone. I told her I’d find her mother, who was separated from her when she was a child.

"Apparently, her mother is being held in Niosebuk as a hostage, so I thought maybe I’d find a lead here in the capital..."

"A hostage, you say? A common enough tale," Tamagushi noted, resting her index finger against her chin.

"Niosebuk is a nation of war; we are constantly launching invasions into one country or another."

"Totally beyond saving, aren't you?"

"Naturally, we have conquered and destroyed many nations. It is common practice to take the prominent royalty or influential figures from those lands and lock them away. Hostages, in other words."

Just because you destroy a country doesn't mean the people living there disappear, and they certainly aren't going to love the people who ruled them by force. Using hostages to keep a lid on the smoldering embers of rebellion is a tactic anyone could think of, not just Niosebuk.

"And if the hostage happens to be a woman, it is standard procedure for her to become a plaything for those in power. In fact, the late King of Niosebuk gathered the princesses and female heroes stolen from surrounding nations and stuffed them into a single estate—a facility where he could ravish them whenever he pleased."

"Ravish them... whenever he pleased...!?"

"The world knows such a facility by a certain name... The Inner Palace."

THE INNER PALACE!!!!!!

Otherwise known as a Harem!! A wonderful facility built by someone with more power than a King, designed to satisfy lust on a scale far beyond that of a commoner!

Niosebuk had one of those, too?! How absolutely scandalous!!

"According to your story, Sir Sao, the person you seek is a hostage sent to Niosebuk from a subjugated nation? If she is a woman, she is almost certainly within the Inner Palace..."

That’s it. The woman I’m looking for is the mother of Septekifa, whom I met in the Dwarven smithing nation just before I entered Niosebuk.

She was sent to the Kingdom of Niosebuk as a Dwarven Princess—a sign of their submission. There, she was ravished by the King of Niosebuk, and the daughter born from that was Septekifa.

For various reasons, Septekifa was sent back to her home country alone, but she’d lived a stifled life because of the complicated circumstances of her birth. Since she was a woman I’d naturally had sex with, I wanted to clear away her sorrows... which meant I wanted to liberate her mother, who was trapped in this "Tiger-Wolf" nation.

"A Princess of the Dwarven Kingdom, you say...? Subjugating the Dwarves, who produce high-performance armaments, would be a high priority for Niosebuk. She must be held under strict guard deep within the Inner Palace."

"Then, could you guide me there?"

Septekifa is currently waiting for good news from me back in the Dwarven Kingdom. We’d shared some passionate sex, and her sturdy, thick Dwarven body was every bit as good as a human woman's—different, but with its own unique feel. To live up to her expectations and have even more intense, lovey-dovey sex later, I had to rescue her precious mother!

"Of course. You have, for all intents and purposes, brought the Niosebuk capital to its knees. That means everything and everyone in this city is now in your hands. You may have whatever you desire."

"Hmm?"

"In any case, let me guide you to the Inner Palace."

I followed Tamagushi as she led the way. By the way, didn’t she just say something a bit suspicious? Well, whatever.

The Niosebuk Inner Palace, as introduced by Tamagushi, was a grand estate located right behind the Royal Castle. It was massive. If Niosebuk had destroyed every surrounding nation and made off with their princesses, the number of people stuffed in here must be enormous. A small-scale building wouldn't cut it.

The grounds were so vast they might have been larger than the Royal Castle itself, and the interior was so clean it looked like it was being polished 24/7. As we walked through the corridors of the estate, we didn't pass a single soul besides ourselves.

"It’s empty..."

"It is the Inner Palace; normally, no male besides the King of Niosebuk is permitted to set foot here. At most, perhaps a few officials who have undergone a... special procedure."

You mean Eunuchs? Men who get their junk chopped off to ensure no "mistakes" happen with other men in the King’s private flesh-pot house. I remember reading about them in manga; the mere thought is terrifying. If that happened to me, I wouldn't know which part was the "main body"—me, or my severed cock!

"However, you have set foot in the Inner Palace without having your rod removed, Sir Sao... This is proof that you are the new ruler of Niosebuk. It is a truly auspicious occasion."

"There you go again—"

"Oh? A 'ruler' and a 'King' are two different things, are they not? Hehe..."

Tamagushi smiled meaningfully. It’s those little meaningful gestures of hers that keep me on my guard. She really seems to want to make me the new King of Niosebuk, but I’ve already given her a firm "No thanks" on that front.

"The Royal Castle suffered catastrophic damage—well, it was practically erased—during the battle with Gangastra. But the Inner Palace seems to have been largely unaffected. It is fortunate indeed that the women here, who had nothing to do with the combat, were spared."

I definitely wanted to avoid civilian casualties, so I was glad to hear it.

"By the way, did the Third Prince, Gangastra, do anything to the Inner Palace?"

Until I killed him, this capital was effectively under his control, right? I can't imagine a guy like that wouldn't have his eye on a garden full of blooming maidens.

"Gangastra didn't really do anything here. Even as the top contender for the throne, if he had ravaged the Inner Palace before officially being crowned, it would have reflected poorly on him. He likely wanted to avoid unnecessary chaos so he could smoothly reorganize things once he became King."

"Surprisingly well-behaved of him."

Given his arrogant attitude, I thought he’d be a total tyrant, but I guess he had some royal upbringing after all.

"More than that, Gangastra's interest was entirely focused on strength. He didn't care much for... amorous pursuits. From his perspective, women who had been handled by his biological father probably didn't even register as sexual targets."

What a waste. Call yourself a man?

Still, if it meant the women didn't suffer unnecessary harm, then that’s fine...

"So, Tamagushi. Where exactly are we going?"

Step, step, step...

We continued our trek through the Inner Palace corridors. We’d successfully infiltrated, but as I said, the place was so huge that just getting inside didn't mean we were getting anywhere. We needed a specific destination, and Tamagushi, who had a better handle on the layout, seemed to have a clear goal in mind. I was just tagging along.

"I don't know exactly where your person of interest resides within the Inner Palace, so I intend to get in touch with someone reliable first."

"Someone reliable...?"

"My mother."

Mother? Your mother?

Tamagushi had hidden her identity at first, but she’s actually the Eighth Princess of Niosebuk—one of the late King’s daughters. It wouldn't be strange at all for her mother to be living in the Inner Palace.

"My mother was also a princess of a small nation destroyed by Niosebuk. Because she gave birth to me—a child with a 'Divine Calling' specializing in combat—she was permitted to stay in the Inner Palace."

The way she phrased that...

"It is exactly as you imagine, Sir Sao."

"You read my mind."

"The condition for a woman to stay in this Inner Palace isn't just being bedded by the King. If she is bedded, she will carry his seed and eventually bear a child. Her status depends entirely on whether that child is worthy of the Niosebuk royal line."

Niosebuk is a meritocracy based on strength—they say it themselves all the time. Survival of the fittest is the national motto. If you’re going to join the royalty, you have to be strong. And in this world, personal strength is largely determined by the 'Divine Calling' you’re born with.

"There is no 'high' or 'low' when it comes to 'Divine Calling', but it’s clear from the start whether one is suited for combat. And in this country, a 'Divine Calling' without combat prowess has no value. If the child’s 'Divine Calling' didn't please the King, both mother and child were kicked out of the Inner Palace."

"The more I hear about this guy, the more he sounds like a total piece of shit."

Apparently, I’m a son who carries that same piece-of-shit's blood. If I hadn't grown up away from that bastard, what would have happened to me? The [Pole Master] class is a total cheat now, but looking at the name alone, you'd have no idea what it actually does. If I’d been under a combat-obsessed father, who knows how badly I would've been treated. I might have grown up in misery, without ever getting to have sex.

That’s why I’m so grateful to my Mom, who made a life-or-death escape from this shitty country while I was still in her womb. I really love her. I love her enough to want to get her pregnant with a third child.

Anyway, back to the point...

"So, the fact that you and your mom weren't kicked out means..."

"It is thanks to my 'Divine Calling'... [Valkyrie]. Though, I find it a massive insult that this power, meant for serving a hero, was viewed as a mere 'high-annihilation' class."

I’d caught a glimpse of Tamagushi’s abilities during the fight with Gangastra. She could transform into an erotic armor battle-form depending on the situation; she reminded me of a magical girl.

"I’m sure that 'Divine Calling' also comes from the Priestess blood you inherited from your mother... In that sense, Sir Sao, I truly want you to meet her. My mother will surely be overjoyed to lay eyes upon a man who is a true hero of this age—a living god."
