The World I Reincarnated Into Was Lenient About Concubines - Chapter 34
Allen Listens to His Mother’s Grievances Regarding His Sex Life
The days of peaceful family time came to an end, and Elisha moved to the Imperial Palace, accompanied by Laila. Though we are set to face each other as fellow freshmen at the Academy alongside the Crown Prince once spring break is over, Elisha and Cedric are followed only by three much younger half-siblings; as her older half-brother, it feels quite lonely.
By the way, aside from my mother giving birth to both me and Cedric, each of the other concubines has only produced a single child. In this world, it is rare for a noble's wife to have more than three children; specifically, from the third wife onward, one child is the standard.
At the Academy, a new set of strict regulations regarding socialization with the opposite sex (other than one’s personal attendants) was established because the third-year students went a bit too far during their graduation party. Apparently, some idiot got drunk and laid hands on an attendant from a high-ranking noble family. It’s truly a shame. To be specific, I was thinking about Sasha’s even more developed, ultra-massive breasts and Nadia’s erotic... Grrr, I’ll definitely plunder them someday.
As for the end-of-year grades, I took the top spot in the class. Well, combining my basic knowledge from my previous life with a decent amount of effort, I don't have any complaints there. I swore to succeed in order to protect Elisha, and I can't look pathetic in front of Lina, Karen, Rakche, or Luida either. I was particularly proud that Lina had the best grades among the students of commoner origin.
From the second year, we choose specific subjects to study. While it’s possible to take many subjects simultaneously, it’s easy to end up a "jack of all trades and master of none," so most students narrow their focus. Specifically, we study the specialized fields we will enter upon becoming bureaucrats. We study several in parallel, then narrow them down further in the third year. Leonard chose subjects centered on economics and agriculture/fisheries to follow the family business, while Guell, surprisingly, added public health—a rather unpopular subject—to his curriculum.
As expected by those around me, I applied for all the major subjects. It’ll be tough making time to see Karen, but I chose this path myself. I intend to give it my absolute best.
Still, when I first reincarnated, I was only thinking about an easygoing harem life. Fate is a strange thing.
Starting this afternoon, I will be traveling to the Principality of Claria as a member of the diplomatic tour. Last night, the four of us had sex together for the first time. Luida’s feelings toward me seem to have softened considerably. Perhaps influenced by Rakche, she passionately sought a "tongue-kiss" while asking for me to ejaculate inside her.
Thanks to that, I’m a bit short on sleep, and my balls actually ache a little from over-ejaculating. I readjusted my crotch, knocked, and entered the room.
"Ah, Allen. That looks very good on you. Your charm will certainly stand out even in a foreign country."
The person who greeted me with a smile was Josephine... my mother. She married into the family as the eldest daughter of an Earl’s house to become the primary wife and gave birth to me and Cedric. She is intelligent enough to manage the duties of a primary wife and beautiful enough to avoid being "publicly executed" by Aries’ looks—she is a textbook example of a noble lady.
"Mother, I’ve come to give my departure greetings."
"Thank you. Allen, you have grown into a truly fine man. Both your father and I are proud of you."
"Thank you very much."
"But, you see..."
Mother sighed as she looked at the cards laid out on the table.
"Your fortune with women is just too strong. First Karen, then Lady Rakche, then Luida... even if I wanted to think it was just a coincidence, there are too many instances for my anxiety to fade. Your father loved me and Aries deeply before welcoming Esmeralda as his third wife, yet you already have plans up to a fifth wife... I hope Cedric doesn't turn out like this..."
She’s so right I can't even argue... Mother sighed again.
"And to think I don't even get to choose your primary wife... At the very least, I wanted to pick a girl with a firm temperament for your first wife, someone who could pull back on your reins... Just the other day, you made Luida walk through the mansion in such scandalous clothing... Ah, I wonder if I should ask Lady Rakche to police the household more strictly, regardless of her status..."
It’s news to me that Mother isn't involved in choosing the primary wife, so I’d love to hear more, but right now I just want to cut this lecture short and leave...
"Mother, it’s almost time for departure."
"Oh, is it that time already? I’m sorry, Allen. Make sure to learn a lot about the foreign lands, alright? But remember: you are not allowed to bring back any more concubines or girls to be slaves, understood?"
"Yes, Mother. Well then, I’m off."
"Take care."
I let out a huge sigh after leaving the room. Listening to Mother’s grievances is exhausting... but the fact that she’s perfectly correct makes it hard to talk back. I’m still only a first-year, yet with names already lined up for a fifth wife, it’s natural she’d be worried about how far I intend to go.
Seeing me off were the people of my personal household—the four candidates for my concubines. Karen had rushed over today as well. Both Rakche and Luida were in their ordinary maid outfits today.
"Allen, do your best at work."
"Young Master, please be careful."
"Have a safe trip."
"Please, take care of yourself."
I gave each of them a light kiss on the cheek.
"Thank you. I'm leaving the house in your hands."
"Yes. However, since we have to prepare the rooms, please limit yourself to bringing back no more than one woman."
"I get it. Listening to Mother’s complaints is tiring enough."
I laughed jokingly and boarded the carriage.
"Well then, I'm off."
And so, I said goodbye to my truly enjoyable life as a first-year and set out on the journey to the as-of-yet unknown Principality of Claria. Little did I know that an encounter of absolute destiny was waiting for me...
