The Betrayed Necromancer - Chapter 9
Hero Certification
"Guh, ah……"
"……Well, that's enough for now."
I muttered, watching Gaoran twitching on the ground like a dying insect.
It seems I got a little too carried away with the long-awaited opportunity for revenge. At this rate, he's going to die, so I spoke to Gina, who was standing by in the room.
"Gina, treat Gaoran. We'll be in trouble if he dies."
"Yes, ❤️right away, Lord Crow!"
When Gina approached Gaoran and held her hand over him, his wounds rapidly closed up.
As a member of the Senko (Nine-Tailed Fox) tribe, Gina is capable of using a special technique known as Senjutsu. Healing a few wounds is child's play for her.
"Still, your handiwork was brilliant, Lord Crow. And that look you gave him, as if he were a mere bug... it's intoxicating. As expected of our king, it got me all excited... ❤️"
"Stop talking nonsense and heal him already."
"Yes, sir~ ❤️"
At my command, Gina finished the treatment immediately.
Though she jokes around sometimes, Gina is an exceptionally competent person. She possesses a wide array of abilities, high combat prowess, and a sharp intellect.
Thanks to her, this operation went remarkably smoothly.
Well, the main event starts now, though.
"Guh…… gaa……!"
As I was thinking about that, Gaoran regained consciousness.
I healed him, but only his injuries; the pain and trauma remain. Gaoran glared at me while crawling on the ground.
"Damn you... I won't forgive you... I'll... I'll fucking kill you...!"
"Ha-ha, aren't you full of life, Gaoran? Still haven't had enough play?"
"You can act high and mighty while you still can, Crow. I am special. And you dared to lay a hand on someone like me. Hehehe... It's over. You're going to die right here...!"
Ha-ha-ha-ha! Gaoran laughed like a madman.
He didn't seem out of his mind, though. I decided to ask what he meant.
"Me die? What's that supposed to mean?"
"I'll tell you. We, the party Dragontail, defeated the Demon King. And for that achievement, we were granted 'Hero Certification' by the gods."
Gaoran spoke proudly.
He really seemed to be full of himself over that Hero Certification.
"And the gods bestowed a fraction of their power upon us heroes. With that power... trash like you is nothing!"
The moment Gaoran shouted those words, the wall of the room suddenly blew away with a tremendous boom!
The impact was fierce, and the entire building shook violently.
As I turned my gaze toward the blast, a figure stepped through the hole in the wall.
She was a beautiful woman, notable for her shining, twin-tailed silver hair. Her red eyes held no emotion, giving her the impression of a doll. Her entire body was encased in a sleek, silver bodysuit that accentuated her exceptional proportions.
And what drew the eye most of all were the wings sprouting from her back and the halo glowing above her head.
There was no mistake. This was one of the targets I had been wanting to meet.
"Hehe, heheheheh! Hah-hah-hah-hah! You're finished, Crow! That person is a soldier of the gods and my guardian, an 'Angel'! As a hero, I have a guardian that transcends human intellect! Lady Angel! Please kill him—kill that trash who dared to defy a hero!"
At Gaoran's words, the angel's eyes locked onto me.
"――――Command accepted. Setting the elimination of hero Gaoran's hostile entity as primary target."
Right after saying that, two white cannon barrels emerged from the space surrounding the angel. What kind of magic is that? I've never seen it before.
"『Cannon』 Angel Milial Arkray. Commencing target annihilation."
The interiors of the two barrels began to glow, unleashing a massive ray of light.
The blindingly fast beam of light shot straight toward me... and directly impacted my body, causing a colossal explosion.
